Dr. Jamal Watson is a journalist, historian and philanthropy leader.
Dr. Watson is on the faculty of Trinity Washington University. A veteran higher education reporter and editor, Watson continues to serve as a contributing editor to Diverse: Issues In Higher Education, the publication that he has been affiliated with for more than 20 years.
Watson is a board member of the MCT Educational Foundation. He is a graduate of Georgetown University; Columbia University, University of Delaware and University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he earned a Ph.D. from the W.E.B DuBois Department of Afro-American Studies.
He is finishing a book on civil rights activist, the Reverend Al Sharpton, is at work on another book about the nation’s student debt crisis and the Biden administration’s response to it.
