Dr. Sugeni Pérez-Sadler is a social impact leader with more than 20 years of experience advancing systemic change in education, workforce development, and economic mobility. A first-generation college graduate raised in a low-income NYC community as the daughter of Dominican immigrants, she is deeply committed to expanding equitable pathways to economic opportunity.
As senior director of Student Pathways Policy and Evaluation at New York City Public Schools, she leads strategy to ensure more than 500,000 high school students gain the skills and experiences needed for long-term economic security. Previously, she served as senior director of school counseling policy, overseeing K–12 career development integration across 1600 schools. She has led multi-million-dollar initiatives, built cross-sector partnerships, and developed data-driven systems to improve student outcomes.
Dr. Pérez-Sadler serves on the board of Summit Academy Charter School and was named one of El Diario’s Mujeres Destacadas in 2024. She holds a doctorate from St. John’s University, dual master’s degrees from Princeton University, and a BA from Barnard College.
