Kaweeda G. Adams is a retired superintendent of the City School District of Albany (NY) where she served the students and families from August 2017 to January 2023. In New York’s capital city, Mrs. Adams was a leader in developing the district’s first Equity in Education Policy (January 2019), which served as the foundational lens for restructuring instructional and operational best practices. Under her leadership, the district was committed to enhancing the delivery of quality instruction through culturally responsive education and implementing research-based educational practices which eliminate systemic barriers and promote access to diverse opportunities that enhance student and adult success. Her experience spans a wide range of service at all levels of an educational organization, from executive coaching and mentoring to developing community partnerships and working with legislators focusing on educational advocacy and developing equitable practices and systems within business and education.
